Balneário Camboriú is famous for its beautiful beaches and the accented tourism in the summer season. Located in the north coast of Santa Catarina, it has one of the best IDH (index of human development) of the country.
In paradox to these data appear the mounts so close and at the same time so distant from its paradisiacal beautiful beaches. Close, when we think physically, only one kilometer of the central beach, and distant, if thinking about the vacuum that merges between these two ways of life.
They are the people who bring a new architectural configuration of life, with improvised pillars with little or no foundation. They are not looking for tourist beaches or attractions, but yes in the search of one better quality of life, in search of job and chances.
Composing the migratory flow of the interior for "attractive" littoral regions, they are the result of a continuous and disordered exodus. When arriving they come across with an unexpected reality. Unprepared, many times need to make of the garbage, its daily one, living of it and living in it.
They want to relieve and they survive in lands that may eventually fall down. They are entire families who live in hovels piled up on the native land, placing them directly in risk situation. In few words; to each rain a new anguish.
