Realization Working on this book has shown us that we must be extremely confident in our purposes, because many are the difficulties in the way. Before anyone else, we have to believe in what we are doing. The work has been based in a very serious methodology which consists in quality of the contents, focus in our goals no matter what and we were concerned about using the instruments that we had available. In order to respect the quality of the contents the only rule to follow was to select the pictures that represented exactly what we were thinking, including technical skills. Among the variety of problems we have faced while we were developing this project we could mention, money matters and the fact that this is our first book. We consider all steps of this work as learning, in fact we learned a lot from this. But we didn’t want to make it seem like young people are not capable to do things right. We are not innocents; we knew this book was something real, tangible and that it would function to prove of our beliefs. The search for quality came from the fact that we didn’t have to much time to waste with mistakes, considering that mistakes include waste of money which was little. Our lack of experience then became an important weapon that reinforced our techniques. The challenge was to use our instruments in a developed way, which would be trustworthy. This was very important, considering that it was an independent work that had to constantly be adapted to different universes which were unknown to us. Rice and Beans is a book that has taught us to have faith, to believe in our dreams, it has made us more Brazilians than ever. We would like to thank the people who believed in this dream. |
